Human Service Consulting is a small consultancy of the most experienced child protection and OOHC Practitioners. We work with a wide variety of organisations (Government and Non-Government) involved in the delivery of welfare services to children and their families.

Our focus is to provide advice, information and support to help you;

Human Service Consulting has assisted a wide range of organisations from across NSW, Queensland and Victoria over the past decade.

Andrew is a Social Worker with Qualifications from University of NSW (Bachelor of Social Work) and Monash University (Master of Social Work).

Work

• Organisational Strategy and Development: As a CEO and General Manager Andrew guided to development of 2 NGO’s from small regional ventures into highly developed, multi-regional organisations with hundreds of staff and multi-million dollar turnovers. These skills and insights have been utilised by a wide range of NGO’s over the past 10 years.
• OOHC Accreditation: Human Service Consulting has assisted many organisations obtain and maintain their Out of Home Care Accreditation (Foster Care and Residential Care) with the NSW Children’s Guardian. Services include policy development, training and assisting organisation navigate the accreditation and reaccreditation process.
• Tender Writing: Andrew has significant success in assisting organisations prepare tenders. Andrew’s expertise focuses on the delivery of services to children, families and young people. Over the past decade Andrew has written many successful tenders for in the area of Homelessness, Early Intervention / Child Protection, Justice, Out of Home Care, Disability Services and Youth Services.

Andrew has worked in senior positions in the NSW Government as well as the CEO and General Manager for 2 Not for Profit organisations delivering services to children, families and people with a disability. Andrew has been the Principal Consultant with Human Service Consulting since January 2010.

Working for Comunity Organisations

• Social Work / Psycho-Social Assessment: Assessing the capacity of family members and others to care for a child or young person. Assisting NSW Department of Communities and Justice (formerly FACS), OOHC Providers and NSW Children’s Court to make informed decisions regarding the long term care of children.

Fees, Insurance & Professional Affiliation

Andrew is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is ensured through their Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Schemes. Andrew’s Hourly fee is $165.00 per hour inclusive of GST.
